Description
This excursion takes you into the Moroccan Middle Atlas, a region of mountains, cedar forests and altitude lakes that contrasts sharply with the imperial cities.
Ifrane, nicknamed "the Switzerland of Morocco", is a mountain town of alpine chalets, flower gardens and spotlessly clean streets. Founded by the French in the 1930s, it is now home to one of Africa's finest universities.
The Azrou cedar forest is home to a colony of Barbary macaques, endemic to North Africa. These monkeys are accustomed to visitors and can be observed up close in their natural habitat.
